Database & Administrative Assistant

Who we are looking for:
Our environmental non-profit is looking to grow our staff. Do you have a positive vibe, a charming wit, and a sense of humor? Do you possess the ability to work with a team and solo? Do checklists give you joy? We’ve got a list of tasks for you – to help move our mission of protecting our lakes & streams forward. Do you have experience in office tasks, organizing data, and managing volunteers? Do you describe yourself as an environmentalist, a lake lover or are rejuvenated by being outdoors? You might just fit into our team!

The job we need you to do:
• Report to work with a positive vibe and witty personality
• Be ready to take direction and follow through on tasks
• Maintain our donor database – adding and editing records, creating reports
• General bookkeeping – scan & process bills, balance financial records between donor
database and bank statements
• Communicate and coordinate our volunteer groups for special events
• Share your ideas to improve our processes
• Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence
• Greet and assist visitors to our office
• Have an even temperament, sense of humor, ability to take direction and exercise good
judgment

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Demonstrated, strong, persuasive written and verbal communications skills
• Organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understand file organization hierarchy
• Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office Suite
• Passionate about the mission of The Watershed Foundation
• Willingness and desire to be a team player within a collaborative work culture
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
• Experience with MailChimp or similar email service provider, Donor Perfect or similar CRM
software, Asana or similar project management software preferred

Position details and benefits:
• 15-20 hours weekly; some events on Saturdays
• Non-remote position. TWF office is located in the North Webster Community Center.
• $20-$22/hour. Health insurance is not provided. Benefits include a flexible schedule,
11 paid holidays, PTO, matching IRA contributions
